A high quality, two-storied retail outlet was to be created on a very tight site around an existing historically protected building.
Geotech issues – The site proved to have poor subgrade conditions and specialist piling was required.
Structural issues – The existing building was originally intended to be retained but had to be partially demolished due to its poor structural condition. The demolition presented challenges with the adjacent protected building.
Project Management – Required careful planning and communication throughout the demolition and construction process as a tenant remained in the original building.
