JOB DESCRIPTION
Strata Group Consulting Engineers was established in 2008 and is a 100% Kiwi-owned, multi-disciplinary, engineering consultancy with a strong structural and civil engineering track record. Strata employ 30+ staff in its Hastings office and offers an extensive range of engineering consulting services, specialising in seismic strengthening, design of residential, commercial and industrial structures, land development and infrastructure projects.
Due to a strong project forecast for 2023 and beyond, Strata Group is seeking a motivated full-time Graduate Structural Engineer looking to start their career and join our team.
Reporting to the Manager, core responsibilities of the role will involve a combination of:
Assist with design of residential, commercial and industrial structures from concept to consenting and construction.
Assist with seismic assessment and design of existing structures from concept to consenting and construction.
Provide structural engineering design expertise on a variety of client projects.
Assist with the coordination and distribution of contract documents.
Assist engineers with on-site matters including site measure up and recording and construction monitoring.
Work collaboratively with drafts people and other engineers to produce high-quality engineering documentation.
Ideally you will have either just completed or already hold a degree or NZ diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent, or you have 1-3 years of NZ experience in a related field. You need to have the ability to work cohesively in a team environment. This is a busy role where you will be juggling multiple projects at once.
