THE BRIEF
Strata Group were approached by Hastings District Council to provide an infrastructure report, plans and master servicing solution for the recently announced Senior Housing Project located in the newly developed Flaxmere west township space.
THE SOLUTION
A smart combination of discharge via soakage, stormwater treatment and attenuation of hard surfaces to piped infrastructure has resulted in an innovative, sustainable and cost-effective stormwater solution.
THE OUTCOME
Importantly, total stormwater runoff from the site will be reduced to less than pre-development rates meaning a reduction in site outflow and therefore a reduced impact on Flaxmere’s downstream infrastructure. This project is currently in consent phase and due to be constructed in 2025.
